Private lessons are the heart and soul of Dr. Ann’s Alexander Technique work. The one-on-one interaction stimulates measurable outcomes. Problem areas are identified quickly and students, guided by Dr. Ann’s expertise, achieve notable results.

The 60-minute lessons focus on key AT components. In a typical class, students become aware of their bodies during everyday movements, such as walking, sitting and breathing. Table work then allows them to release more tension to become calm enough that their natural posture and reflexes take over. Finally, concentration focuses on specific activities of interest to the student, such as golf swing, yoga stance, public speaking and computer work as well as performance.
A minimum of 10 lessons is recommended, although many students continue with Dr. Ann on an ongoing basis.
